Barf: Kate Winslet Says Woody Allen Is In Touch With His Lady Side

SFFILM Awards Night

Woody Allen’s latest film, Wonder Wheel, has been kind of panned with the exception of Kate Winslet, who I assume must just feel like she owes him for another stab at an Oscar. Because why else would she do the media rounds and not pooh-pooh on him? Oh, that’s right. Nobody who works with Woody has figured out how to respond to the guaranteed reporter question of, “So…why’d you work with the OG sexual predator?” And when they do get it, they act like total deer in headlights. Just ask Blake Lively, who was asked about him after she filmed Café Society. She gave everyone a case of strained side-eye after she tried to peddle he was “empowering” to women. So now it’s Kate’s turn.

During an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald (via The Cut), Kate did the usual Teflon trick of trying to say she knows about as much as the rest of us, and that her relationship with Woody is strictly professional. In other instances, she’s shut down talk from veering to the allegations against Woody, even though she’s had plenty to say about Harvey Weinstein. So Kate had her moment of “Wtf?!” when she sat down with the Sydney Morning Herald to basically say Woody should pick up where Jeffrey Tambor left off in Transparent:

“I think on some level Woody is a woman. I just think he’s very in touch with that side of himself. He understands the female characters he creates exceptionally well. His female characters are always so rich and large and honest in terms of how they’re feeling and he just knows how to write dialogue for them to communicate all that.”

Yes, Kate, we all know how Woody is “in touch” with women. I don’t know what Kool-Aid Woody passes out on set, but Jennifer Lawrence and that Conclave of Hollywood Power Betches she was telling Oprah she wants to form seriously need to invent a counteractive measure. Oh, right. They already have that. It’s called mace.

See Harry and Meghan’s Royally Sweet Engagement Photos Side by Side With Will and Kate’s

After officially announcing their engagement on Monday morning, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a celebratory appearance at Kensington Palace. Harry and Meghan definitely had that newly engaged glow as they held hands and Meghan showed off her stunning engagement ring. In addition to their outing being extra adorable, it instantly reminded us of when Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out to celebrate their engagement at St. James’s Palace back in November 2010.

While there were many similarities in the way both couples gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes and held onto their other halves’ arms, there were also a few differences. For starters, Meghan and Harry chose to have their engagement photocall outside at the Sunken Garden and Will and Kate had theirs inside at St. James’s Palace. Kate also wore a blue wrap dress for the occasion, while Meghan opted for a white trench coat. And then there are the rings. Kate’s engagement ring includes a 12-carat sapphire that once belonged to Princess Diana. Meghan’s ring, on the other hand, features a center-stone diamond from Botswana and two smaller diamonds from Harry’s personal collection, which was given to him by Diana. Nicole Kidman Has «Extraordinary» Keith Urban by Her Side For a Big Night at the Glamour Awards

Nicole Kidman is having one of her biggest years yet, and we aren’t the only ones taking notice. On Monday night, the actress was honored at Glamour‘s Women of the Year Awards in NYC, and she had husband Keith Urban by her side to celebrate. The duo showed off their sweet chemistry on the red carpet before heading inside, where director Sofia Coppola presented Nicole with her trophy. «It’s been an extraordinary year, and I use that word extraordinary in all of its meaning because we’re in uncharted territories right now,» Nicole said in her speech. «But I think tonight we’re here to celebrate the phenomenal contributions that so many people in this room are giving to the arts, to culture, to exploration, to human rights. So I just want to take this moment to say let’s celebrate all of us and what makes us us.»

Nicole also took the opportunity to give Keith a sweet shout-out, saying that without her «extraordinary» husband, she would be lost. «He gives me so much strength at times and he gives me so much love,» she gushed. «I’m very, very fortunate and I know so many people in this room don’t have that, but I do have it, and I want to acknowledge it because as much as I’m a strong woman, I need help and I need support.» Nicole and Keith famously tied the knot back in 2006, and they celebrated their 11-year anniversary in June.

Warwick Davis’s Reddit AMA Reveals Which Side He Stands On in One of the Great Pajiba Debates

British actor Warwick Davis is a bit of an institution. He has built an illustrious career in film and TV ever since being cast as the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi ’83. He popped by Reddit HQ earlier today for an Ask Me Anything, during which he provided an answer to a very important question around these parts…

You can check out the full thread here, but below you will find some highlights as well as his position on the aforementioned matter…

Hey reddit, Warwick Davis here. I’ve been lucky enough to work on some of the greatest sci-fi, adventure, and fantasy films of all time, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Willow and Labyrinth.

I am currently hosting ITV’s quiz show Tenable on every day at 3pm, as well as producing a new musical called Eugenius!

Alright, I think that’s it! Ask me anything!

You played three different roles in Harry Potter, how easy was it to keep all the characters distinct when playing them? Were you familiar with the Harry Potter universe before taking on the roles?

You have to approach each character differently. it starts with the way they think, then add body language and posture. They become distinct and different automatically, it wasn’t a conscious effort.

Hello!!! If you could adopt any fantasy beast or creature from the various universes you’ve acted in as a pet, what would you choose?

I like the look of the Porgs in The Last Jedi.

Hi Warwick, How different did it feel working on the newest Star Wars films to how it was back in the 80s?

It’s really not that different. I find it just as exciting as I did when I was 11 and many of the techniques used have not changed at all.

Hi Warwick, what’s with the name Warwick? Is it ‘cos you were conceived in Warwick Castle?
Also, do you refer to your own house as Warwick’s castle? missed opportunity if not.
All the best.

My name was seen by my parents as graffiti on a train station wall. It turns out it’s a good name for an actor as it’s quite unusual.

I often refer to my house as Warwick’s Castle on my quiz show, Tenable.

Favorite sandwich?

Cheese salad.

Hello Mr. Davis, out of all the prosthetics and makeup you’ve had to wear, which was your favorite and which was the most difficult to have applied?

The Griphook make-up in Harry Potter was the most challenging. It was very heavy and restrictive but I think it looked incredible. I have so much respect for Nick Dudman and his team of artists.

Mr. Davis, what’s it like being part of two of the biggest franchises (Star Wars and Harry Potter) of all time?

I feel incredibly lucky.

Which Leprechaun movie was your favorite, and if you could pick any setting for a future movie, what would you choose?

Lep 3. I think it would be fun to do a Leprechaun / Pirates hybrid movie.

What’s your favorite song?

Thanks for doing this, and for all of your work!

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life. I had so much fun performing the song in the musical, Spamalot.

With well over 30 years of acting under your belt, where would you like the next 10 to go Mr Davis?

I’d love to host a TV talk show. I have a title… ‘Small Talk with Warwick Davis’

What are your favorite TV shows right now?

I am absolutely loving Stranger Things 2. I have resisted watching the whole series in one sitting, instead savouring one episode each evening. If they do make a season 3, I will personally travel to and camp outside The Duffer Bros. house to get a part.

What is your dream roll in a movie?

A spy like James Bond.

Hello. Forgive me if this comes out offensive, none is meant.

I really love your work and think you are a great actor. Sometimes I feel like you are somewhat typecasted into rolls inherently designed for little people. Is it hard or even possible to get major roles that are open and not little specific? It’s an honest question becuase i would love to see you just act in a position. I feel like every time I’ve seen you do this its in an project of your own device. Anyway, would love to hear from you mate.

I am very happy with the roles I have been getting throughout my career. They have all been interesting and I am constantly being pushed creatively and learning new skills. I have a new quiz show called ‘Tenable’ on ITV in the UK and I can honestly say I love hosting it even though it is more difficult than playing a character in a movie, for example.

Warwick, if you could cast any spell only once each day, what would it be?

An anti-discrimination spell.

Life’s Too Short is one of the funniest shows I’ve seen. Would you like to do more comedy?

Thank you. I love doing comedy even though it’s often harder than doing drama.

What role would you like to be remembered for?

Not sure which role but as an actor who just happens to be short!

What was it like working with Val Kilmer?

I think Val is a brilliant person and actor. We got along great, and still do. He is often misrepresented in the media, which is a shame.

Hi Mr Davis, I have been a fan of yours since I was very young, I spent many days pretending to be Wicket playing in the forrest near my home. But without a doubt Willow holds the closest place to my heart — do you have any stories about Val Kilmer from your time on the film and do you do any magic tricks yourself? Thanks and never stop being awesome!

Val Kilmer once broke my pair of fake Ray-Ban sunglasses on purpose. Waited for me to get annoyed, then gave me 2 pairs of real Ray-Bans.

I learnt magic for Willow but don’t practice any of the tricks now.

I absolutely love Willow. I killed my vhs as a kid I watched it so much. Would you be willing to do a sequel even after so long? It would be cool to see you ask the next generation what finger holds the magic to change the world.

An older Willow would be interesting to explore.

Then there’s this glorious moment when talk of a potential Willow sequel brings Val Kilmer (himself an active Redditor) out of the woodwork:

But now, finally, for that Very Important Question…

Mr Davis, if you could choose your last meal on Earth, what would it be?

Well there you have it. Even Warwick Davis can be 100% wrong.

Wendy Williams Defended Her Man After He Was Accused Of Having A Side Piece For 10 Years

Wendy Williams woke up to a hot steaming mug of her own medicine yesterday while reading what the The Daily Mail left on her doorstep: A giant manila folder full of receipts from their investigation into her husband Kevin Hunter’s alleged decades long affair with a 32-year-old massage therapist. Apparently the Daily Mail has been stalking Kevin and his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson for almost a year. They claim that Kevin has been living a double life, moving between his home with Wendy and the condo he bought for Sharina for the past 10 years.

According to the Mail: was able to uncover Hunter’s double life after an exhaustive year-long investigation. After a tip back in September 2016, Hunter was discovered splitting his time between the family home in Livingston, New Jersey, and a luxury two-bedroom condo he owns 30 miles away in Fort Lee, New Jersey, where his mistress was staying.

Daily Mail must have little birds everywhere because they have an indecent amount pictures of Kevin and Sharina together. They have pics of them coming and going from the apartment as well as back and forth to the gym. They have a bunch of pics of Sharina (whom they claim Kevin calls his “shawty”) out grocery shopping and in one she is wearing a giant diamond ring on her engagement finger. They have pictures of the INSIDE of the mailbox at the new, more private $ 765,000 house Kevin supposedly upgraded them to, showing both Kevin and Sharia’s names.

You can’t hide from The Daily Mail, Kevin. They have eyes (and noses) everywhere.

At one point, Hunter made an hour long call from a terrace to the rear of the property and on another day he ventured out to smoke a suspicious looking cigarette.

Sources have placed them at restaurants and claim they live a pretty normal life other than the fact that Kevin has a wife, house and a kid just a couple of towns over. DM claims that sources have told them that Sharia’s parents hate the relationship and want Kevin to leave Wendy so he can be with Sharia and make them grandbabies. Good lord, people are so, so dumb when it comes to rich motherfuckers.

Back in 2008 we first learned that Kevin wasn’t first in his class at gentleman school. At that time Kevin was sued for sexual harassment by a talent broker who worked on Wendy’s radio show (Kevin was Wendy’s manager, and still is. They also jointly own a production company) which was settled out of court. Wendy also admits that Kevin had an affair in 2001 but that she decided she would stay with him, claiming the incident made their relationship stronger. This marriage must be so strong at this point it could take on Godzilla. And Wendy is STILL standing by her man! Wendy flashed her wedding ring on her show today and said that the rumors are as fake as her Michael Jackson-ized nose.

“I stand by my guy. All is well in Hunterville. Don’t believe the hype. And if there was hype, believe me, I would let you know. And by the way, I’ll be following this story. So I guess I’ll have to watch to find out what happens.”

Uh huh… Hmmm.. Maybe Wendy was the “source” all along! That’s the only way this story has the satisfactory, Shondaland “oh no she didn’t!” ending I’m hoping for.

Experts Side with Jimmy Kimmel, Who Goes Another Round with the Cassidy Graham

The one criticism that’s been leveled by supporters of the Cassidy Graham bill against Jimmy Kimmel — because it’s the only criticism they can muster — is that he’s a comedian and not an expert on health care, so he’s out of his lane. In fact, after Kimmel called Brian Kilmeade a «phony little creep,» Kilmeade said basically the same thing: Kimmel doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and he has talked to the bill’s authors, Bill Cassidy and Lindsay Graham, and why should we take Kimmel’s words over theirs?

Well, for one: Cassidy and Graham are lying and a number of points. To wit: They keep saying that the bill doesn’t take away coverage of preexisting conditions. Pence confirms the lie in this dodge:

Moreover, the experts agree with Jimmy Kimmel:

Yesterday, all 50 Medicaid directors came out against the Cassidy Graham bill to repeal Obamacare. ALL 50. That’s like having 50 umpires review a replay and call a player out, while Lindsay Graham and Bill Cassidy continue to insist he’s safe. I have no idea why Lindsay Graham is so invested in the bill, so willing to lie about what’s in it, other than the fact that it has his name on it. In fact, three months ago, Lindsay Graham decried carve outs to the previous Obamacare repeal designed to win votes, and yet, the latest version of the Graham Cassidy bill has a carve out specifically for Alaska (and Montana), which basically allows Murkowski and Co. to keep Obamacare if she votes for this bill, which would repeal Obamacare it everywhere else.

Here’s what Graham said three months ago.

By why should Graham listen to himself? It’s not like he’s an expert, huh?

Anyway, here’s Kimmel vs. the Obamacare Repeal, Round III:

Of Course Barbra Streisand Refused To Show Her Bad Side At A Charity Telethon

Barbra Streisand talk at Tribeca Film Festival

Mother Nature has been one cruel bitch sending hurricane after hurricane throughout the Caribbean and U.S. this year. Hollywood decided to fight back in the best way it knows: diva power!

Gays everywhere nearly self-combusted when a photo of Cher and Barbra Streisand working the phones together at the hurricane relief telethon Hand in Hand popped up on social media:

Everyone thought how wonderful it was that those two would take time off from instructing the latest batch of maids on the proper way to dust a Grammy and show up for a good cause, but Page Six notes good deeds don’t come without a rider. A source snitched over how Barbra apparently refused to let photographers grab a shot of her unless it was her “good” side:

“There were a ton of celebrities on the red carpet, but she wanted to walk the carpet in reverse order, so the cameras would only shoot her good side. It was as if she was a salmon swimming upstream.”

Ha! I don’t know why a hurricane relief telethon comes with a red carpet, but after 50 years in the biz, Barbra doesn’t have to walk in the same direction as morning television snots and movie stars. Babs has previously made Jimmy Fallon swap sides with her when she went on the Tonight Show, and I’m sure she even makes the roads in England swap when touring in London just so the Brits will never catch a glimpse of the right side of her face. The Hand in Hand organizers should just be grateful she didn’t ask to Vaseline the camera lense and scatter rose petals at her station to put her in the right frame to greet callers with a few numbers from Yentl. Instead, I’m sure she just looked over to Ariana Grande and said, “This is how it’s done, basic.
