Rihanna Has A Message For Anyone Talking About Her Weight

Cannes Okja carpet

Last week, Barstool Sports got in trouble after one of their writers, Chris Spagnuolo, posted a piece titled: Is Rihanna Going To Make Being Fat The Hot New Trend?. In it, Chris joked (a term I’m using very loosely here) that Rihanna looked like she was wearing a sumo suit, and hoped that her new look would inspire hot girls to “look like the humans in Wall-E.

It didn’t go over well, and Chris Spagnuolo claimed he was getting cyberbullied by Rihanna’s fans. He has since been suspended indefinitely, and the post has been deleted. Although the blog’s founder released a statement saying it was pulled because it wasn’t funny enough.

Now, we all know that if Rihanna is in the right mood, she will drag a bitch. But she must have either been feeling merciful or figured her fans were doing a good enough job, because she didn’t really come for Chris Spagnuolo. Instead, she Instagrammed a meme about herself featuring Gucci Mane and a play on every basic girl’s favorite inspirational Marilyn Monroe quote.

A post shared by badgalriri (@badgalriri) on

I love any time that Rihanna slaps back at someone. The thing is though, that meme is a bit incorrect for more than just the reason that current-day Rihanna looks NOTHING like former Gucci Mane. I bet if you took a quick poll of straight guys and lesbians, there would be a sizeable number that would raise their hands and enthusiastically volunteer to take on Rihanna at her 2007 Gucci Mane, her 2017 Gucci Mane, and her 2011 Gucci Mane. (That would be the year he got an electric ice cream cone tattooed on the side of his face). Yes, they might cringe a little at the thought of doing someone with a terrible face tattoo. But as long as it was attached to Rihanna, they’d no doubt be willing to pretend it wasn’t there. Hey, I’m sure some of us have excused a lot worse for a lot less sexy.

Russell Wilson’s Mother’s Day Message To Ciara Didn’t Go Over So Well

25th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation's Academy Awards Viewing Party

Yesterday was Mother’s Day, the day when the internet comes together and threatens to crash Instagram’s servers by mass-uploading pictures of moms with captions about how they’re the best in the world. One popular theme yesterday was for dads to thank the mothers of their children. Russell Wilson Instagrammed a message to Ciara on her first Mother’s Day with their daughter Sienna Princess, which included a line about how he’s so grateful to get to raise “our” kids together. That “our” didn’t sit well with people.

The “our” in question would be Sienna Princess and Future Zahir, Ciara’s three-year-old son with Future. Ciara and Future haven’t exactly had the best relationship when it comes to Future Jr., and Future once accused Russell of using his (then new) relationship with Future Jr. as a publicity stunt. Some people were quick to suggest that Russell maybe shouldn’t have been so possessive with his wording, you know, since one of those kids still has a dad in the picture. I’ll give Russell a break; after spending so much time combing through Googling Images for a picture, he probably didn’t have much left over to write the caption.

Russell and Ciara clearly didn’t care about any of those online side-eyes. Shortly after Russell caught some shit for his Instagram post, Ciara threw up this Instagram Story of Future Jr. and Russell together.

The old, much messier Future might have responded to all this by Instagramming a picture of the “Father’s name” section of Future Jr.’s birth certificate and captioning it with a bunch of angry-faced emojis, but he didn’t do that. Instead he posted a picture of Ciara and their son and wished her a very happy Mother’s Day.

I appreciate u more than u know, our son is an incredible kid. We made a king,Happy Mothers Day C!

A post shared by Future Hendrix (@future) on

Then again, he also wished all his other baby mama’s a happy Mother’s Day too. So that could have been a nice move on Future’s part, or merely just an item checked off on his assistant’s to-do list.

Both Russell Wilson and Ciara have a major case of Chronic Social Media Over-the-topness, so what Russell wrote isn’t that bad to me. Calling Sienna and Future Jr. “our” children is practically a restrained move on his part. Then again, we’re not out of the woods just yet. There’s still Father’s Day, and that’s where things could really get messy. Ciara and Russell might want to run any potential Instagram captions by a trusted friend before they throw them up, just to avoid any more drama. “Hmmm…I don’t know if you want to write that Russell is the absolute 100% #1 best father both children could ever ask for.

Katy Perry Has a Message For Everyone, Including Taylor Swift: «Don’t Come For Me»

It’s no secret that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift aren’t the best of friends. The two have had a rumored feud for years, and things came to a head in 2014 when Taylor released her song «Bad Blood,» which she later hinted to Rolling Stone was about Katy. Since then, Katy’s fans have been anxiously waiting for her reply to come in the form of a song, but so far there’s been nothing. And Katy recently told Entertainment Weekly that that’s not about to change. When asked by the magazine if she thinks the song is indeed about her, she said, «Well, that’s not my question to answer — if it’s about me. I think [my new album] is a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person.»

The «Bon Appétit» singer may not be planning any revenge tracks right now, but she also made it clear that nobody should mistake that silence for not saying anything at all. «One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone,» she continued. «And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period, end of story. But let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence, so don’t forget about that, OK, honey. We got to keep it real, honey. This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It’s not even about me! It’s about everything that I see out there that I digest. I think there’s a healing in it for me and vulnerability. If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless and here it is.»

LeAnn Rimes Really Overdid It With An Instagram Anniversary Message To Eddie Cibrian

It feels like just yesterday that Tori and Dean’s kindred spirits were getting married after hooking up on the set of a Lifetime movie and cheating on their respective spouses. But here we are, six years later and LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are still together.

LeAnn marked the special occasion by posting a gallery of pictures from their wedding along with a long note about how much she loves Eddie and his boys. I’m sure that choice wasn’t motivated at all by her unquenchable desire to continually rub their relationship in Brandi Glanville’s face. Just a warning before you read LeAnn’s anniversary message to Eddie: she spells love several times as LovE, with a capital L and E. LeAnn and Eddie, get it? If the act of overcompensating needed a mascot, LeAnn would be it.

6 for 6! My heart overflows with LovE for these humans. This was one of the most joyous days I've ever experienced. The trio that is my life…I am grateful! I will forever be in awe of the wonder of of God's plan. It has challenged me beyond belief and fulfilled my soul more than I could have ever conceived. Every year, I'm even more at a loss for words to describe my LovE for you three magnificent souls. The deeper my LovE, the more speechless. Happy 6 year anniversary! I didn't just become Mrs. Eddie Cibrian, I became a co-soul protector and lover of two little boy's hearts. These six years and whatever lies beyond are God's greatest gift. #6yearsin #candyversary #6yearanniversary #happyanniversary #anniversarygift #stepmomlove #familylove #hubbylove #eddieandle #LovE #trust @eddiecibrian @reem_acra 👗@red25events @joebuissink the most incredible moments captured by you ❤ we love you 😘

A post shared by LeAnn Rimes Cibrian (@leannrimes) on

Eddie also joined in on the eye-rolling fun by posting a picture of him and LeAnn dancing with a caption about marrying the most “incredible woman” and his “angel.

I’m glad LeAnn decided to InstaBrag about her anniversary, because really, it is a big deal to make it four years longer than Star magazine predicted. But damn if she wasn’t corny. A co-soul protector? Gwyneth Paltrow is totally kicking herself for not thinking of that first. Although I am a little disappointed that LeAnn couldn’t come up with something just a bit more self-congratulatory, like bonus policy holder for the spiritual insurance of perfect angels. To be fair, her brain probably needed a rest after it came up with LovE.

Shannen Doherty’s dad, John, passed away from a stroke at age 66 back in 2010, and the actress paid tribute to him on what would have been his 73rd birthday over the weekend. I would pick him over and over again. Every time. My hero. My mentor. I’m ridiculously lucky to have had him guiding me, teaching me and loving me. He still is. Daddy I love you. Still. Always. Forever. #adadslove.»
