Eric Hosmer and Kacie McDonnell Stole the Show at the Gold Glove Ceremony

There’s a fat contract in Eric Hosmer’s future, but he first took care of some personal business last Friday as he attended the Gold Glove ceremonies at The Plaza. And he wasn’t alone, as girlfriend Kacie McDonnell accompanied him to the event — it goes without saying they were the hottest couple in the house:

Hosmer, of course, won his fourth Gold Glove in what was probably his final season with the Royals, so this past year wasn’t a total downer.

BC told you guys about Hosmer and McDonnell being a thing back in 2015. They enjoyed a World Series run together and now he’s set to receive a huge multi-year contract.

Miami Fan Flies ” Gold Chains > Gold Helmets #RudyWasOffsides” Airplane Banner Over College Gameday

If you’re keeping track, this is the second time this season and third time in 2 years that someone has spent hard earned money to fly a banner in the name of a college football joke.

Earlier in the year, it was someone going after Butch Jones and before that, Kiffin got roasted. Today, it was a Miami fan taking his shot at Notre Dame. I have a feeling it was some tanned up, rich Miami guy who dropped these stacks to get his Rudy joke in the air this morning. The same guy who wears all white linen and sat courtside at Heat games between 2010-2014.

But he’s 1000% right. Gold chains are, in fact, greater than gold helmets.

And Rudy was definitely offsides.

You Must See Leonardo DiCaprio’s Baby Pictures, For They Are Bohemian Hipster Gold

Leonardo DiCaprio has been in the spotlight for over 20 years, but we’ve only recently begun to find out more about his humble beginnings and unconventional childhood. The 43-year-old actor is the only child of Irmelin Indenbirken, a German-born legal secretary, and George DiCaprio, an artist and comic book distributor, and the three are featured in a series of heartwarming family photos taken in Los Angeles in January 1975, when Leo was just a baby.

In 2016, George accompanied his famous son to the Golden Globes — and after winning at the SAG Awards that year, Leo gave a heartfelt thanks to his parents, saying, «Thank you for listening to an overly ambitious, slightly annoying 13-year-old kid who wanted to go on auditions every day after school.»

Jennifer Fisher and La Ligne Combine Gold and Stripes

La Ligne might be known for all things striped, but after years of having a style-crush on jewelry designer Jennifer Fisherdon’t we all—the brand has joined forces with the designer for a collaboration dipped in gold.

For La Ligne’s first foray into jewelry, founders Meredith Melling, Molly Howard and Valerie Macaulay teamed up with Fisher for a limited-edition collaboration earring. By blending La Ligne’s signature use of lines and Fisher’s penchant for statement earrings, the Jennifer Fisher x La Ligne earring is a long, structured statement piece that reaches right below the neckline and doesn’t disappoint in dramatics. Plated in gold, the earrings branch out in a delicate way and make for the perfect accent to any ensemble (and definitely an off-the-shoulder look).

“La Ligne was the perfect brand to collaborate with for this season’s duster earring given our tendency to use geometric shapes in our jewelry,” says Fisher about her collaboration with her longtime friends and La Ligne founders. “The lines were the perfect addition to our holiday collection. They are a statement, yet they are clean and minimal at the same time.” The pairing brought out the classic Fisher staple of a loud accessory, and paid perfect homage to the branding of La Ligne. “Jennifer reinvented our signature La Ligne monogram “slash” into a shoulder grazing earring that will satisfy minimalists and maximalists alike,” says Melling. And to top it off, the partnership’s campaign stars actress Dianna Agron (above) wearing the earrings at the Stuart Parr Clearhouse in Shelter Island.

The Jennifer Fisher x La Ligne earring is available now exclusively on Net-a-Porter for $ 750.

Morning Briefing: And Now Donald Trump Is Directly Arguing with a Gold Star Widow on Twitter

We now enter the second week of, uh, what are we calling this? Trump-doesn’t-know-how-to-speak-to-humans-gate? As a reminder to everyone: Donald Trump started this. That’s an assumption we can make without even knowing anything else about the controversy, but the fact that Donald Trump (and his son) are stooping to personal insults is a pretty good tip off that they’re not exactly on the right side of this argument:

This morning, Myeshia Johnson — the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson — appeared on Good Morning America to back up all of Rep. Wilson’s claims.

She was upset, she said. «It made me cry even worse.» She said that her husband died a hero, but that she has no idea how she died, and — because she wasn’t allowed to look inside the casket — isn’t even sure it’s her husband inside. She also said that Trump struggled to remember her husband’s name, which Trump is already disputing on Twitter.

You’re arguing with a Gold Star widow, Donny. Just shut the fuck up. Just say, «I’m sorry,» and move on. How hard is that for you? Why must you debate with a grieving widow? Even if you were in the right — and you absolutely are not — you let it go. Listen to Martha on this, Donny:

This is not a fight you want to have, and knowing Trump, he will invariably resort to personal insults. By day’s end, he’ll probably end up saying something terrible about Myeshia Johnson. God knows his supporters already are, after that Tweet basically had the effect of siccing his supporters on her:

I would, however, note that tweets in support of Myeshia Johnson outnumber tweets criticizing her at about a 20-1 ratio.

Meanwhile, the White House knew when Trump said that he’d reached out to all the Gold Star families that it was a lie, and Trump’s staff spent last week scrambling to send condolence letters overnight to family members.

Finally, speaking of military service, John McCain would like to remind everyone not-so-subtly that Trump was basically a draft dodger:

Margot Robbie Goes For the Gold Medal in Sabotage in the First I, Tonya Trailer

If you’ve been dying to see how Margot Robbie would transform to play infamous figure skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya, wonder no more. The first teaser for the upcoming black comedy, which is one of the season’s most anticipated new movies, gives us a few brief glimpses of Robbie in action on the ice rink, much of which is actually her and not a stunt double. We also get a look at her taking a bat to Nancy Kerrigan (Caitlin Carver) in 1994 and some intense close-ups of costars Sebastian Stan and Allison Janney. An official release date is still up in the air, so you have plenty of time to mull over Tonya’s searing declaration at the end of the trailer: «There’s no such thing as truth, it’s bullsh*t.» Fair enough.

Pamella Roland at the 62nd Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show

Last week, Pamella DeVos (the Illinois-born designer better known as Pamella Roland) was honored at the 62nd Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show in Chicago, taking home the evening’s top prize: the Children’s Service Board Award of Excellence. This is the second time the designer has been recognized by the annual affair, which benefits the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital. In 2003, DeVos picked up the Gold Coast Award for up-and-coming designers – a prize that has also gone to Tory Burch, Wes Gordon and Marc Jacobs, to name a few.

Awards aside, DeVos’s career has speaks for itself. But for her, the honor came as an opportunity to reflect on her distinguished career. “From [2003] we’ve worked really hard to build the Pamella DeVos brand,” she says. “I started it from the ground up and I never really dreamed I would get something like this, let alone be around for 15 years. When you’re new like that, you don’t realize where you could go, so I just ran with it.” And run with it she did – right into the the CFDA, to which DeVos was inducted in 2010.

DeVos traces her success back to one pop cultural moment: Kim Cattrall’s Pamella DeVos design at the 2004 Emmy Awards, which she wore at the height of Sex and the City’s reign. “Since then, we’ve dressed so many people,” she says. “Just last night Gigi Hadid wore one of our looks,” DeVos says, referring to the baby blue ensemble the model wore for her younger sister, Bella Hadid’s 21st birthday soirée. “[Gigi] is probably the biggest model currently, so all of that is still so exciting. I think it never stops being exciting.”

While she may be accustomed to dressing the biggest stars around, DeVos has plenty starstruck fans of her own. “It’s always fun to meet new accounts who you’re excited to meet, but then they’re also excited to meet you. They say to me, you’re listening to what we want,” she says of her ability to keep up with the times. “Today the gowns are more opulent and full of drama,” DeVos shares, “and that’s what’s selling.”

With three children of her own, it’s fitting the designer has placed her focus on a cause benefitting children. “As humans, we always find time for what’s important to us,” she says on balancing work and life, “and both fashion and charity play pivotal roles in my life.” To that effect, DeVos and her husband started a foundation supporting kids’ health for those in need, whether due to prohibitive costs or physical disability. “For me giving to children is an easy give,” says DeVos. “And there’s so much that’s still needed.”

RAC is Spinning Gold

When Portugal-born, Illinois-raised André Allen Anjos started out in the music industry, it wasn’t a hugely successful endeavor right away. “I sent out tons of letters and emails to labels and recording studios,” the 2017 Grammy-winning producer known as RAC says of his humble beginnings. “I got zero responses.”

Together, for a moment, we relish in the idealistic sentiment that things don’t always work out as planned but end up being better than anticipated. In Anjos’s case, he ended up forming RAC (which stands for Remix Artists Collective) in his college dorm room in 2007 and has since worked with the likes of Lana Del Rey, Foster the People and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. Most recently, he won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording of Bob Moses’ “Tearing Me Up.” I’d say things have worked out in his favor.

“I remixed The Shins right out of the gates. That’s when I knew that I was doing something real,” Anjos says of his first taste of musical success. He continued to remix other songs as RAC, which was still a four-man production unit at that point. Anjos always served as the heartbeat of the collaborative crew, and in 2014 he released his first-ever solo project Strangers under his moniker RAC. He says that introducing himself to the world as a solo artist didn’t feel like that much of a departure from his past work; it was a natural process.

“I was always making music, but I had never made original music under RAC. It was the right time though,” he reveals. “I felt like I matured as a musician and I knew what I was doing by then.”  He continues to say that although he had been creating original material earlier, he didn’t feel totally ready to release it. “I didn’t want to jump all over the place with RAC. I needed to develop my own style and my own approach to things.” With collaborations with Tegan and Sara, Bloc Party and St. Lucia, Anjos made an impressive splash as a newly solo indie-electronic artist. Since his debut album, Anjos has been touring the globe, putting on some of the most electric performances imaginable. “I’m a huge technical nerd,” he admits. “I like a big production with lots of lights. But my main goal is for people to just have a good time.”

EGO

For this tri-lingual (English, Portuguese and French) performer, his most memorable show came just moments after his first album was released. “Well, back in 2007, I visited New York City for the first time and I went to Terminal 5 with my manager,” Anjos reveals. “I thought it was the coolest venue. In 2014 I had a show there and we sold the place out. It was very rewarding.”

From spinning playful pop songs to electronic dance beats, Anjos has never strayed from experimenting with music. On his newest album, EGO, which will be out July 14th, he features a cast of distinct vocalists including St. Lucia, K.Flay and most notably, rocker Rivers Cuomo of Weezer on the single “I Still Wanna Know.” Other bangers include “Heartbreak Summer” and “It’s A Shame,” featuring Anjos’ wife Pink Feathers. You can find Anjos touring North America this fall, making stops at Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco and Life is Beautiful Festival 2017 in Las Vegas.

Prison Bae Got Inducted Into The League Of Extraordinary Gold Diggers This Past Weekend

prisonbaeandchloegreen

In a little over a year, Jeremy Meeks (aka Prison Bae aka Hot Mug Shot Guy aka the felon guilty of grand theft, gun possession, gang shit and murdering thirsty pussies and bussies everywhere with his dreamy eyes) has gone from eating radiator grilled cheese in prison to smearing caviar all over the billionaire ass cheeks of a TopShop heiress on a yacht off the coast of Turkey.

26-year-old Chloe Green, who used to do Marc Anthony, managed to piss off daddy and get some quick attention at the same time when the paparazzi took pictures of her rubbing her billionaire heiress bits all over Prison Bae on a yacht. Chloe’s dad is Sir Philip Green who runs a retail empire and is reportedly worth of $ 5 billion. Chloe also posted that picture of her and Jeremy Meeks (with his manager) on Instagram with the caption, “Just the beginning… We appreciate all the love and the hate.” Chloe has since deleted her entire account. Some would slow clap for Jeremy’s come up, but well, his 33-year-old ass is still technically married to Melissa Meeks, the mother of his two children.

The Daily Mail says that Chloe and Jeremy, who signed with a modeling agency after getting out of the clink, met at Cannes in May (below: pics of Prison Bae working that tear drop tattoo in Cannes). They obviously bonded over their mutual love of long walks on the beach, the early works of Nietzsche and antiquing on the weekends. Or Chloe instantly fell in love with that prison dick and he instantly fell in love with her credit card’s endless spending limit.

The Daily Mail posted several pictures of Prison Bae gazing lovingly at that giant dollar sign with a cigarette as she gazed lovingly at the object of daddy’s rage:

Prison Bae pretty much confirmed that he’s living that kept bitch life by putting this on Instagram:

All things are possible !!! #bodrum #turkey #boatlife

As for his wife, she hasn’t said anything about him landing a sugar mama, but she did post this on Instagram about a month ago:

#nocaptionneeded 😘💕

A post shared by Melissa Meeks (@mmeeks14) on

So either one of two things is happening here. 1. Prison Bae has gone the Jesse Williams route by dropping the chick who stuck by him and is going full fame whore now. Or 2. Melissa Meeks is an understanding wife who supports all of her husband’s possibly lucrative endeavors and doesn’t care that he’s slapping his prison peen on some billionaire heiress as long as he comes home with gifts that can easily be pawned for cash and a TopShop discount code that never expires. I’m going with the second one.
