Miley Cyrus Changed Up Her Look Because She Felt “Sexualized”

A little over a year ago, I wrote about how Miley Cyrus was reportedly hanging up her g-strings and nipple covers and living that modest wifey life for Liam Hemsworth. And maybe I was naive, but I refused to believe it. The proudly slutty Miley I knew would never! Then Miley appeared on the cover of Billboard looking like she was fixin’ to go to a demure hoedown thrown by her flower arranging club. Then she let it be known she shudders to think of herself naked and swinging from a wrecking ball. Well, Miley recently explained her new look, and she’s definitely really over her chipmunk-on-spring-break phase.

Miley tells Harper’s Bazaar that she’s in the middle of a “transition” away from the unicorn horns, day-glo wigs, and holographic fetish wear. Miley just couldn’t keep stepping out with her intimate bits covered in six ounces of fabric held together with a few stitches of thread, glitter glue, and a prayer, because – if you can even believe it – Miley was starting to feel “sexualized.

Her previous over-the-top persona, she decided, had served its purpose. “It became something that was expected of me. I didn’t want to show up to photo shoots and be the girl who would get my tits out and stick out my tongue. In the beginning, it was kind of like saying, ‘Fuck you. Girls should be able to have this freedom or whatever.’ But it got to a point where I did feel sexualized.”

But she is also putting her tits away because, according to Miley, it’s way more shocking and edgy to be covered up like a dainty lil’ lady.

“Even at the Met Gala, everyone had their boobs out, everyone had their ass out, so what’s punk about that now? It’s more punk actually for me to not.”

Although she would like you to know that just because she used to put her tits out there as much as humanly possible, it doesn’t mean she considers herself any less of a role model. She’s still the same ol’ Miley young critters can look up to.

Speaking of, Miley also talked about quitting weed by quoting Canadian philosopher Justin Bieber. She may not be puff, puff, passing at the moment, but…

“Just for now. To quote the wise Justin Bieber, ‘Never say never. But right now I want to be clear.”

Back to Miley’s thoughts on being sexualized. I kind of always through that’s what she was going for? Like, goodbye Hannah Montana, hello Billy Ray’s hyper-sexualized daughter. I’m curious to know what the turning point was. Her lightbulb moment could have come one day as she was sitting on the porch in a pair of crotchless Dolfin shorts squirting Mountain Dew into her mouth from a penis-shaped water gun. Or maybe it was seeing an old pic from her Bangerz tour of her humping the hood of a car with her ass out. Both of those have the potential to make one pause and think: “Hmm…perhaps this is a tad sexual.

Miley Cyrus Got Into A Fight With Dolce & Gabbana On Instagram

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have done a really good job of pissing people off with their homophobic thoughtsIVF, etc… They recently pissed off Miley Cyrus and got into a fight with her. And it all started with her brother Braison Cyrus.

People says that on Saturday, 23-year-old Braison Cyrus made his debut as a runway model by walking Dolce & Gabbana’s 2018 Spring/Summer show in Milan. Miley celebrated her little brother’s achievement by Instagramming a picture of Braison and congratulating him on his success, which was followed by her telling D&G that she hates their politics but loves how they support young artists.

Congrats @braisonccyrus on walking in your 1st runway show…. It's never been my little brothers dream to be a model as HE is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever been given the gift of hearing…. BUT it is a Cyrus family trait to try everything once (within reason HA) and to embrace opportunities that encourage you to step out of your comfort zone! We believe in trying something new everyday! I love you Prince Suga Bear and seriously congratulations on your experience! I am so proud of you always…. From Nashville to Italy! 👑❤️👑❤️👑❤️ PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics…. but I do support your company's effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!

A post shared by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) on

D&G weren’t having any of it, and Stefano Gabbana slapped back at Braison’s sister in both Italian and English.

D&G really love telling people to boycott them. They recently clapped back at the “haters” by selling a $ 245 t-shirt that says #BOYCOTT DOLCE & GABBANA.

Miley wasn’t the only one who hated on D&G. GQ says that one of Braison’s fellow models, Atlanta musician Raury, protested D&G by removing his bomber jacket at the end of the show. Written on his chest were words like “protest” and “give me freedom.” Raury was pissed about D&G trying to profit off the word “boycott” with their t-shirts. GQ says he was quickly removed from the show.

One of the last times Dolce & Gabbana let the hate flow, Elton John told them to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. Elton is also a fan of Miley’s, so I would really love to hear what he has to say about this. If anyone can knock D&G down a peg, it’s Papa Elton. But first, I’d like to think he’d want to have a kiki with Miley about that comment to her brother. “Prince Suga Bear? And with the R-drop and everything? Darling, your family is indeed just too charming for words.

Local New Yorkers Lose Their Cool Over a Disguised Miley Cyrus in the Subway

No matter how hard she might try, Miley Cyrus just can’t escape donning a wig and pretending to be someone else. During The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, the «Malibu» singer and the host put on some wacky disguises as they treated local New Yorkers with a surprise performance in the subway station under Rockefeller Center. While Miley was quickly recognizable by her voice, it’s Jimmy’s fake persona that really has us stumped — he looks SO much like her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus! Even she was freaked out by the similarities. Eventually, the duo gave up the act and revealed their true identities, causing the huge crowd to erupt in applause. But that’s not even the best part! After singing her heart out to «Jolene,» Miley treated fans with a special performance of her classic hit, «Party in the USA.» Get ready to nod your head and move your hips like «yeah.»

Miley Cyrus Gives Ed Sheeran’s «Shape of You» a Whole New Meaning — Literally

Ed Sheeran dropped «Shape of You» back in January, and since then, the song has taken on a life of its own. While it’s pretty clear that the track is about Ed’s girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, Miley Cyrus gave the song a whole new meaning when she stopped by The Tonight Show on Wednesday night. After running the lyrics through Google Translate, Miley belted out «Shape of You» with drastically different lyrics. No offense to Miley, but we would take Ed’s original version any day.

Miley Cyrus Says “I Kissed A Girl” Is About Her

Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus recently admitted during an appearance on the Cubby and Carolina Show (via Vanity Fair) that Katy Perry is her longest friendship. And how did their friendship start? According to Miley, it started after Katy wrote I Kissed A Girl about her.

Miley says that not only was I Kissed A Girl written about her, but it was also the beginning of her do-shit-for-attention phase.

“She’s been a friend of mine for a really long time. We were actually just realizing the other day that next year, we’ll have been friends for 10 years. I think that’s my friend that I’ve known the longest. Which is really, really weird.

When [Perry] came out with I Kissed a Girl, I was doing the Hannah Montana movie, and I heard her on the radio. They said, ‘Who did you write that about?’ She said me! I screamed and started freaking out, and then she asked me to go to the VMAs with her. That’s when I started doing my whole VMA controversy. I was like, ‘I’ll go with Katy Perry!’ So that’s how we met and we just stayed friends.”

Miley should have taken a quick break from her volunteer joint-rolling to do some fact-checking before she told that story. If she did, she might have learned that I Kissed A Girl probably wasn’t written about her. Katy claimed a while ago that it’s about Scarlett Johansson.

“I was with my boyfriend at the time, and I said to him, ‘I’m not going to lie: If Scarlett Johansson walked into the room and wanted to make out with me, I would make out with her. I hope you’re okay with that?’”

Miley and Katy have kissed before, back during Miley’s Bangerz tour days. Katy has also recently admitted that she’s done more than just kiss girls. Katy Perry will be going on tour in September, and if Katy really is the new Miley, then expect to see Katy “spontaneously” pull a “surprised” Miley out of the audience and enthusiastically try to shove her tongue down her throat during a performance of I Kissed A Girl.

There’s no clear answer as to whether or not Miley and Katy have smooched, and I have no idea where Miley got that story about being the source material for I Kissed A Girl from. But I am positive it’s a lie. I Kissed A Girl was released when Katy was 23 and Miley was 15. If Katy had admitted to kissing on a 15-year-old Hannah Montana in 2008, her follow-up single would have been called I Received A Visit (From Chris Hansen).

Miley Cyrus Says Katy Perry Wrote «I Kissed a Girl» About Her, but Like . . .

Miley Cyrus has been busy promoting her upcoming album, and during an on-air chat with radio station WKTU on Tuesday, the «Malibu» singer revealed that she was the inspiration behind Katy Perry‘s debut hit «I Kissed a Girl.» «We were actually just realizing that next year, we’ll have been friends for 10 years!» Miley said. «I think that’s my friend I’ve known the longest, which is really, really weird. When she came out with ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ I was doing the Hannah Montana movie. I heard her on the radio — they said, ‘Who did you write that about?’ [and] she said me!» She added, «I heard it, and I screamed and started freaking out.»

OK, this is interesting for a couple of reasons, but mostly because «I Kissed a Girl» came out in April 2008, when Miley was only 16 and Katy was 24. Also, Katy initially denied that she had ever «kissed a girl,» but later revealed that the song was, in fact, autobiographical — then admitted that she’s actually done more than just kiss another woman. So, apparently Katy «got so brave, drink in hand» and Miley was the one wearing «cherry chapstick?» And this could be totally unrelated, Katy recently chopped all her hair into a very Miley-esque pixie cut — is there something here we need to know about?

7 Significant Things Miley Cyrus Has Said About Liam Hemsworth Since They Reconciled

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth rekindled their romance in January 2016, and over the past few months, the singer has been talking more and more about their relationship and why they broke up in the first place. She even used it as inspiration for her new single, «Malibu.» Although Miley’s become somewhat of an open book lately, the couple has remained tight-lipped about their upcoming wedding plans. Here are some of the best things that Miley has said about Liam since they reconciled.

  • On their relationship: «You have been my best friend since the day we met….. I am beyond lucky to share sooooo many animals with you!!!»
  • On the engagement ring he gave her: «This is really weird because this is real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy and they don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up, so sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune, and he’s kind of like, ‘What’s going on?’ Well, this really isn’t my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it because [he loves] me.»
  • On her decision to write «Malibu» about Liam: «They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam. So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, ‘This is how I feel’?»
  • On why they broke up: «I needed to change so much. And changing with someone else, not changing like that is too hard. Suddenly you’re like, ‘I don’t recognize you anymore.’ We had to refall for each other.»
  • On the advice she would have given herself after their split: «I think — know — that everything is happening for the right reason, and I knew that when we weren’t together for the first time. I didn’t know if that was the end of it, or if we’d be back together again, but I knew that wherever I was going, I was on the right path.»
  • On getting back together with Liam: «I think people who break up and get back together, I think that’s awesome, because you know it’s true but you get time to be yourself. You get time to grow up. I think if you’re growing up attached to another person, you never really get solid as your own being. So I’m really solid, and then he gets to be really solid, and then together we get to be two really grounded people. But it’s not a half and a half make a whole.»
  • On what she learned from their breakup: «Stay where you’re happy, and when you’re not, be able to find things that will give you newness and happiness again. I think also allowing people to have their freedom, not feeling like every second you have to be together and that you can’t do anything except live for each other. I think that’s what is wrong with a lot of relationships if you don’t have time to be able to be yourself. I just love that my dude doesn’t really make me do that. He gets to do his thing and I get to do my thing, and then he inspires cool music and gets me to go to the beach more than I ever would.»

Miley Cyrus Reflects on Her Breakup With Liam Hemsworth: «I Was on the Right Path»

Miley Cyrus recently dropped her new single, «Malibu,» which is clearly inspired by her rekindled relationship with Liam Hemsworth, and during an interview with SiriusXM’s Hits 1 in Hollywood earlier this week, the 24-year-old singer further opened up about her 2013 split from Liam. «I think — know — that everything is happening for the right reason, and I knew that when we weren’t together for the first time,» Miley said of the advice she would give her younger self. «I didn’t know if that was the end of it, or if we’d be back together again, but knew that wherever I was going, I was on the right path.»

After spending some time apart, Miley and Liam got back together in 2016 and resumed their engagement. «I think people who break up and get back together, I think that’s awesome, because you know it’s true, but you get time to be yourself. You get time to grow up. I think if you’re growing up attached to another person, you never really get solid as your own being,» she explained. «So I’m really solid, and then he gets to be really solid, and then together, we get to be two really grounded people. But it’s not a half and a half make a whole.» In addition to talking about Liam, Miley got candid about her decision to quit smoking, a choice she also spoke about in her recent interview with Billboard magazine, adding, «I’ve got a lot of energy.»

Miley Cyrus Quit Weed But She Still Rolls Her Friends’ Joints

Miley Cyrus is full-court-press with her new “Tammy Wynette meets straight-edge Squeaky Fromme” persona. She’s no longer using the hip-hop community as props. She’s no longer backing it up on Robin Thicke. SHE’S NO LONGER SMOKING WEED.

But, just because Miley has quit inhaling, doesn’t mean her friends won’t get high with a little help from her. Her will-power is iron and we know this, because she rolls their joints for them!

During an appearance on Sirius’ Hits 1 in Hollywood show on Friday, Miley said she is fine with her friends still smoking around her. And also said that if you’ve got the herb and the papers, she’s still got the skills. According to People:

“I roll them joints. I still roll the joints for them! I just sit there. I roll fat joints, too.”

As the astonished hosts lavished praise on Miley for her extreme willpower and utter selflessness, one of them asked her if she has to go to meetings to deal with no longer partaking of Mother Nature’s green bounty. Pffft, Miley doesn’t need your meetings, your steps, or your rehab facilities. She’ll just stop, y’all!

“Anything I want to do, if I want to start or stop something, I can do anything, so I just decided not to anymore and now that’s easy for me. It’s very weird.”

So she could start shooting up, or smoking crystal meth, or eating Ring-Dings and be able to stop, just like that? Doubtful. Once you start eating Ring-Dings, quitting them requires chaining to a wall and an exorcism.

Miley has found that cutting out the weed has made it a lot easier to get out of bed in the morning. She’s got more energy, but she didn’t really need it because Miley = laser.

“I’ve got a lot of energy. I’ve always had a lot of energy. I’m a very obsessive person, which I need to work on, but also it helps in my position to be a little obsessive because then I can really get things done and make sure it’s perfect the way I want things to look or the video.”

I’ve seen that video… the one where she wears a lot of white ruffles with post-apocalyptic hair and runs around with balloons inviting Lyme disease? Are we sure that one was filmed prior to her nixing ganja?
