Buy This Nebraska Cornhuskers Chevy Silverado — $4,500

via Craigslist

We’re still over two months away from the start of college football season, but Nebraska fans can get ready for that Sep. 2 home opener against Arkansas State by purchasing this Husker 1992 Chevy Silverado. The current owner admits that it has some “dings and scratches”, but he did drop $ 800 on this custom Nebraska hood:

And another $ 300 on this rear vinyl wrap:

Additional details from Craigslist:

But the really great thing about this truck is the $ 800 painted Husker hood and the $ 300 vinyl wrapped tail gate. Great for Husker sports tailgating! They just look cool anytime. We get lots of compliments on them. Everything works on the truck. It has a modified front grill, wheels from a 2003 Silverado (much better looking), stainless steel rocker panel moldings (because there is some rust under there being a 25 year old truck), custom tail lights, window visors and a chrome hood bug deflector. In addition it has been modified to make it a dual exhaust to get a great sound.

Split the cost with your boys and steal the show at Memorial Stadium.

Even Though He’s Done With Olivia Munn, Aaron Rodgers Still Isn’t Talking To His Family

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t talked to his family in a while and they said it’s because he’s gone Hollywood. They also didn’t like his then-piece Olivia Munn. So when Aaron and Olivia didn’t renew their contract broke up, I figured that a scene like the end of Beauty and the Beast would play out. You know, the dark skies would clear up, Aaron would magically appear in a chair at his family’s dinner table and “We Are A Family” would start blaring. UsWeekly says that hasn’t happened.

A source says that Olivia is out of the picture, but Aaron still hasn’t talked to his family. Aaron’s mom has called him, but he hasn’t called back. Aaron’s mom is so not like my mom, because when I don’t answer a text within 5 minutes, my mom screams for 911, the FBI, the producers of 48 Hours and Gemma & Abbie from The Keepers. And she also asks Siri to please issue an Amber Alert for me.

“Aaron still hasn’t been in contact with his family. His mom, Darla, has reached out to him multiple times in the last few months but hasn’t heard back from him.”

This is coming from UsWeekly, so who knows. Aaron’s family hasn’t gone to the media about this yet, but if they do, I expect them to say that Olivia must’ve put a spell on him that has yet to be broken. The power of a Japanese potato knows no bounds.

And this is another example of “Celebrities Are Not Like Us.” Because I’m sure some of you have been avoiding calls from your family for months and you’re not in UsWeekly.

Cavs Fan Creates ‘LintBron’ James

The Cleveland Cavaliers may be facing an insurmountable 2-0 NBA Finals deficit to the roided out Golden State Warriors, but that didn’t stop dryer lint bust sculptor Sandy Buffie from collecting 30 pounds of lint to create “LintBron” James.

ESPN’s J.A. Adande apparently came across Sandy and LintBron while strolling around Cleveland this afternoon.

If this looks familiar, it’s because Sandy created a LintBron last year after the Cavs won the NBA Championship. As you can see below, the 2016 version had a headband, necklace and some tats:

Dad-to-Be Ian Somerhalder Is Adorably Attentive to Pregnant Wife Nikki Reed

Have we mentioned lately how adorable Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are together? The couple, who is currently expecting their first child together, enjoyed a sweet day date on Tuesday as they grabbed a bite to eat at Gjelina in Venice, CA. While Nikki showed off her growing baby bump in a blue jumper, Ian wore a casual gray shirt and jeans as he carried her purse around town. And the cuteness didn’t stop there. Like a true gentleman, The Vampire Diaries star helped his wife cross the street by lending his arm and cuddling up to her as they waited for traffic. His beloved character, Damon Salvatore, may be dead, but Ian proves time and time again that chivalry isn’t. If you need us, we’ll just be flipping through these photos and swooning over Ian and Nikki’s sweet, sweet love.

Aziz Ansari Parties with The Moth

Last night, The Moth, which began as a DIY storytelling slam in New York City and has since become a global broadcaster of true stories told live onstage without notes, celebrated its 20th anniversary in New York, as well as the evening’s honoree Aziz Ansari. The Midsummer Night’s Dream-themed gala, aptly dubbed “A Moth Summer Night’s Dream,” transformed downtown’s Capitale into a woodsy wonderland, with a dress code that channeled the flora and fauna of Shakespeare’s comedy. “This [theme] calls to mind the first ever Moth in my loft on 17th St.,” founder George Dawes Green, donning a pair of horns, told the audience. “Like the play in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, it didn’t matter if it was a disaster, because it was a radiant disaster.”

Ansari took on a less enchanted tone in his acceptance speech. “I guess even thought I’m the one getting an award, I still have to tell a story,” joked the comedian, who went on to give an anecdote about his love of bacon. “Seems like I already did that shit if you’re presenting me with an award, but…“

Wearing a sleek black jumper, Julianna Margulies may have broken dress code, but her sense of wonder shined through. “I’m new to the whole podcast situation, just because I’ve been living under a rock for seven years,” said Margulies, referring to her blockbuster run on The Good Wife, which ended last year. “When I hear the stories [from The Moth], so many of them are so compelling and inspiring. I was in the car listening to an incredible one by a doctor, and actually had to pull over because I got so emotional,” she told us.

The program was packed with Moth-style stories by a diverse range of speakers, including former Obama speechwriter David Litt and students from The Moth’s high school program, and a DJ set by Twig the Wonderkid kept the crowd entranced until midnight.

James Comey’s Opening Remarks for the Senate Intelligence Committee Confirm Everything

Turns out that we do not need to wait until tomorrow to find out what James Comey is going to say to the Senate Intelligence Committee, at least where it concerns his opening statement. That can be read in its entirety here.

The long and short of it is this: It confirms everything that we have heard from news reporting, so far. It outlines all the time that James Comey spoke with the President. The President did asks James Comey for his loyalty; the President did ask that he let go of the Michael Flynn investigation; and the President did ask that Comey announce publicly that the President wasn’t under investigation and the Comey do something about the «cloud» that was hanging over the Trump Presidency. Trump also denied in these conversations that he had anything to do with the «hookers» suggested in that dossier.

Here are the most relevant passages from the opening testimony.

As promised, James Comey did not draw any legal conclusions. However, based on his testimony, it is clear that Donald Trump attempted to influence or steer the investigation. He repeatedly asked Comey to lift the «cloud» of suspicion that hung over Trump.

What is not clear from Comey’s opening remarks is if Trump actually did collude with the Russians. Trump may have suggested that Comey do something about the investigation so that Trump could «remove the cloud,» or he could have suggested that Comey do something about the investigation out of fear that Comey was going to find out something.

Based on the opening statement alone, I’m actually inclined to believe the former, which is to say that Donald Trump obstructed justice here because he didn’t want the public to have the perception that he was being investigated, and not necessarily because he feared the results of an investigation. At one point, he did suggest to Comey that it was possible some with «satellite» associations to the campaign (like Carter Page or Paul Manafort, perhaps) could have been involved with the Russians, but that Trump was not, according to Trump.

Anyway, the testimony is not explosive, so much as it is a confirmation of what has already been reported. Senators like John McCain have been saying all along that this information «if true,» is disturbing. This seems to suggest that it is true. The question now is, how many other Republican Senators will also conclude that it is «disturbing,» and is it disturbing enough to them for an obstruction of justice charge and impeachment?

I think that regardless of whether this fits the definition of obstruction of justice — and it certainly seems to do so — when it comes to the GOP, we all know the answer to that. Sadly.

Jaime Pressly Is Pregnant With Twins

When Jaime Pressly shook the extra pee dribbles off her pregnancy test a few months ago, she was hoping to see the word “pregnant.” She got her wish and more. 39-year-old Jaime tells People that she and her 38-year-old boyfriend had been trying for a kid for a while, and admits they definitely weren’t expecting to get two for the price of one.

“Twins don’t run on either side of our families so we were completely shocked. This wasn’t IVF or anything like that. It was just a shock, and I’m like, ‘Doctor, that’s impossible!’”

“I’ve always wanted three kids and the older I’m getting, I’m like, ‘Okay, maybe just one more would be nice.” Pressly jokes that expecting two babies is “God cutting me some slack.”

Jaime has a 10-year-old son named Desi with her ex-boyfriend Eric Calvo.

She also announced the news on Instagram with that picture and a caption reading: “Big news for our family! Dezi’s going to be a big brother, times 2! Get all the details in my interview with @people (link in bio) #ClearblueConfirmed #ClearbluePartner #twins #family.

Congrats to Jaime, but I’m personally more excited that Jaime announced her twins by having her publicist call up People AND by posing for a tasteful picture with her Clearblue piss stick. It’s been so long since a celebrity announced their pregnancy with a Clearblue-sponsored post, I was starting to think it had fallen out of fashion.

10 Things to Know About Broadway Breakout Star Ben Platt

Image Source: Getty / ANGELA WEISS

Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen is stealing the hearts of audiences everywhere this season, and that’s in large part due to its star, Ben Platt. Not only does the 23-year-old actor blow everyone away with his portrayal of the socially awkward, anxiety-ridden teen eight times a week, but he’s just as charming off stage as he is on. Even if you’re not theater-obsessed, odds are, you’ve probably seen his face before. Pitch Perfect ring a bell? With the Tony Awards approaching this weekend, brush up on these key facts about the rising star below.

  1. He was born and raised in LA. Even though Ben is a Broadway sensation, he actually grew up on the West Coast. He attended the prep school Harvard-Westlake School in LA and graduated in 2011. He is still close friends with his high school classmate Beanie Feldstein, who is Jonah Hill‘s sister.
  2. He grew up in a musical family. It’s no surprise that Ben has a love for theater — it runs in his blood. His father, Marc Platt, is the producer behind La La Land and Wicked. His brother Jonah is also in the business, having starred as Fiyero in the latter musical on Broadway. Ben and his four siblings were often dubbed the Von Platts (based on the Von Trapps from The Sound of Music) for their musical talents growing up.
  3. He’s Jewish. Ben is very open about his Jewish background. His mom, Julie, credits their religious upbringing to keeping their kids so grounded in Hollywood.
  4. His first big role was when he was 9. He played Winthrop Paroo in The Music Man at the Hollywood Bowl alongside Kristin Chenoweth, who went on to star as Glinda in his father’s production of Wicked. The two actually met backstage when Marc came to see Ben’s performance.
  5. He deferred from Columbia to be in The Book of Mormon. After graduating high school, Ben was accepted into Columbia University in New York but put his education on hold to star in The Book of Mormon. He played Elder Arnold Cunningham in the Chicago tour from December 2012-October 2013 and again in the Broadway show from January 2014-January 2015.

  1. He was in an a cappella group on stage and in real life. Ben is well-known for playing the nerdy Treblemaker Benji Applebaum in Pitch Perfect. Interestingly enough, he was also a member of Columbia’s musical group Nonsequitur A Cappella.
  2. He originally auditioned for Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen’s creators) when he was 17. Before landing the title role in the musical, Ben auditioned for a different Pasek and Paul original called Dogfight, about a group of Marines on the eve of shipping out to Vietnam. Even though they thought Ben was «incredible,» he was a little too young for the cast. Following the audition, Benj sent him a Facebook message mentioning another idea they were developing and suggested they stay in touch. Fast forward a few years later, and the trio were working together on Broadway.

  1. He has some insane rituals for his role. Ben takes his role in Dear Evan Hansen very seriously, even if that means living a «monkish existence.» His castmates say that he rarely goes out for a celebratory drink at the end of the week and often goes straight home to rest his voice. Aside from getting nine or 10 hours of sleep each night, he also has a strict diet to make sure he stays healthy but can also pass for an anxiety-ridden teen. He’s not allowed to eat gluten or dairy, he takes zinc and oregano supplements, and he has two physical therapy sessions a week to make sure his posture doesn’t become too much like his character Evan’s.
  2. He’s the youngest winner of the Drama League Awards. In May, Ben won the organization’s distinguished performance award, which recognizes a performance on the New York stage in the past year and can only be won once in a performer’s career. At 23, he became the youngest winner in the award’s history.
  3. He’s up for his first Tony. Ben is a front runner to take home best performance by an actor in a leading role at the Tony Awards this year. Not only would it be his first win, but it is also his first nomination.

Usher Teaches His Adorable Son a Little Thing or 2 About Red Carpet Swagger

Usher attended the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Gala in NYC on Tuesday night, but it was his son Usher V (aka Cinco) who stole the spotlight. After the singer skipped the One Love Manchester concert to take his 9-year-old to Camp Kudzu (a summer camp for kids living with diabetes), the father-son duo put on their best smiles as they walked the red carpet. While Usher donned black pants and a flashy green shirt, his son looked sharp in a powder-blue tux. The father of two even gave his son a quick lesson in swagger by letting him borrow his shades and showing him how to pose for the cameras. Of course, the sweetest moment had to be when Usher stepped back and admired his little guy from afar. So sweet!

Meet Tristan Muniz — Girlfriend of UNC SS Logan Warmoth

Our MLB Draft prospect series rolls along today with North Carolina shortstop Logan Warmoth. Baseball America has him ranked as the 19th-best player available on their big board, and the third best shortstop behind Hunter Greene and Royce Lewis (of course, Greene and Lewis might not even be drafted as shortstops).’s scouting report on the 21-year-old junior:

While Warmoth doesn’t have a standout tool, he also doesn’t have any obvious shortcomings. He’s a gifted hitter who controls the strike zone, handles good velocity and uses the entire field. He started to show some power toward the end of his sophomore season, and has enough to hit 12-15 homers per season in the big leagues.

Warmoth has solid speed and the savvy to use it on the basepaths. His instincts and quick hands help him make plays at shortstop, and he’ll get the chance to play there as a pro. With average range and arm strength, he’s probably better suited for second base.

Where the latest mock drafts have Logan getting picked:

Keith Law: No. 20 – Mets (In$ $ $ ider)
BA: No. 19 – Giants’s Jonathan Mayo: No. 22 – Blue Jays

Seems like a lock to go in the first round, hopefully we see him and his girlfriend Tristan Muniz on the MLB Network set next week. She’s a Kappa Delta and cheered at Florida State.
